Accessing Your Canvas Course - Supported Browsers

Supported Browsers

Because it's built using web standards, Canvas runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, or any other device with a modern web browser. Canvas supports the last two versions of every browser release. We highly recommend updating to the newest version of whatever browser you are using as well as the most up-to-date Flash plug-in.

Canvas supports these versions of Flash and popular web browsers:
Chrome 42 and 43  NOTE: Canvas recommends using Chrome as your Internet browser
Internet Explorer 10 and 11
• Safari 7 and 8
• Firefox 37 and 38 (Extended Releases are not supported)
• Flash 15 and 16 (for recording or viewing audio/video and uploading files)
• Respondus Lockdown Browser (supporting the latest system requirements)

NOTE: Some supported browsers may still produce a banner stating "Your browser does not meet the minimum requirements for Canvas." If you have upgraded your browser but you are still seeing the warning banner, try logging out of Canvas and deleting your browser cookies. Learn how to clear your cache on a Mac or PC. Clearing your cache will help your browser function more efficiently and ensure you have the most recent version of Canvas.
